Welcome to the Vida Marmeda blog! Vida Marmeda is Spanish for ‘The Marmeda Lifestyle.’’ It’s a special place where we will share Marmeda news, product launches, and styling ideas. In this first post we would like to introduce the Marmeda brand and share a bit about how we came to be!
Marmeda is a direct-to-consumer company that designs unique, modern, and colorful home decor accents packed in luxurious, gift-ready boxes. Marmeda was founded in 2019 in Seattle by Ash Freeze, a Latina entrepreneur and design fanatic with a mission to inject more color and boldness into home decor and to make decor a better gifting experience.
Ash has always had an eye and talent for design. She was frequently asked by family and friends to help them design their home and wedding decor. In 2016 she started selling home decor accents, including some of her own designs, on Amazon as Marmalade Floral, and later as Marmeda Decor.
However, after several years of selling on Amazon, Ash wanted better control of her brand. She wanted to be able to more directly connect with her customers, and to sell only her own products and designs for full creative control. She stopped selling on Amazon and created a standalone brand and website on Marmeda.com. Her mission was to add color and individuality to a decor space (de)saturated with greys, whites and neutrals. Marmeda was born!
All Marmeda textured stoneware and faux potted plants are designed in Seattle and boxed in gorgeous, gift-ready packaging in the signature Marmeda teal. Marmeda products are sold exclusively on Marmeda.com, so you know you are getting something unique! All products are ethically manufactured with the highest-quality materials and in compliance with the BSCI (Business Social Compliance Initiative) code of conduct.
