Dessert Date in Style
Posted on 08 September 2018
Just because summer is technically over doesn't mean we can't soak up the last bit of sun and warmth in the evenings. So how do we mix modern rustic decor with some outdoor fun? Picnic date!
Our friends Cassie and Brady, so graciously offered to help us out with this stylized dessert picnic out in Magnolia Park.
We had so much fun making smores over candlelight! At several points even Charlotte (the pup) wanted to jump join in on the deliciousness.
Admittedly, roasting marshmallows over candlelight doesn't quite beat a full on campfire. However there are some pretty strict fire restrictions in most public places around Seattle- so our super rustic and woodsy barewood candle holders did just fine.
Of course we decided to add to the outdoors theme with coasters and a little tin vase to keep all our smore skewers clean.
A fun sticky mess later we were ready to "toast" it up for a great night out to celebrate the remaining warm days and sunshine before those Pacific Northwest clouds come back for the winter.
